Quick answer: Feed a complete and balanced dog food made for your dog's age and size. Puppies eat three to four meals a day, adult dogs two. Keep treats to about 10% of daily food, and always leave fresh water out.
Why "roti and doodh" isn't enough
Many Pakistani dogs grow up on roti, milk and leftovers. They fill a stomach but miss the protein, vitamins and minerals a dog needs, and milk often upsets their stomach. A complete dog food covers all of it.
Meals by age
| Age | Meals a day |
|---|---|
| Puppy (under 6 months) | 3 to 4 |
| Young dog (6 to 12 months) | 2 to 3 |
| Adult | 2 |
Use the feeding guide on the pack as a starting point, then adjust for your dog's activity.
